Diploma of Beauty TherapyBefore you can enrol in this course you must contact the campus or campuses of
your choice for details of information sessions and other procedures that may
apply. Compulsory attendance at an information session may apply.

You will acquire advanced beauty therapy treatments, including aesthetic
aromatherapy, use of essential oils, epilation and make-up for photography. You
may choose from electives in the specialist beauty workplace training and
assessment or small business management areas.

You must complete all 22 core units plus eleven (11) elective units of
competency to receive the qualification.

People considering enrolment in beauty courses need to be aware that skills
development will require students to practise on each other and that industry
dress codes will apply. This will necessarily involve touch but will always be
practised and applied in accordance with industry codes of practice and ethics.
Details will be provided to intending students during pre-enrolment information
sessions or to enrolled students by the teacher.

To be eligible for a VET FEE Help loan you must be either:
An Australian citizen or a permanent humanitarian visa holder who is resident in Australia for the duration of your unit. You must have a Tax File Number. Please bring your TAX File Number and a copy of your HSC (if applicable) to the Information Session.

For Permanent Residents or Humanitarian Visa holders, a Certificate of Evidence of Resident Status (CERS) or a Humanitarian Visa will be accepted.

To assess eligibility for Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer students are required to bring any transcripts for study previously undertaken with Registered Training Organisations (including TAFE NSW).

Students will also need to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Visit www.usi.gov.au. Please bring your USI No to the Informaton Session

Please bring your Medicare Card or Driver’s License as proof of identity

Students under 18 years of age will be required to complete an Enrolment form and must be signed by a Parent or Guardian.

You will be required to attend TAFE for between 16 to 20 hours per week. The duration of the course is 9 months. The Timetable is, Monday & Tuesday 8:30am to 5pm each day plus 4hrs Clinic Time to be added after Commencement. Fee: $9,000.00

This course cost $9,000.00. A VET FEE help student Loan is available for eligible fee paying students.

This course is for individuals who are wanting to be competent in a broad range of beauty therapy treatments and services which include facials, body massage, hair removal, spa treatments, lash and brow treatments and services, nail technology services, make-up, aromatherapy, providing advice on beauty treatments and services, selling retail skin care and cosmetic products and coordinating a work team. To be able to work as a skilled beauty therapists in salons, spas and the wider beauty industry.
